I talked to Mr. Beachy this morning. He was planting two kiwi vines that Lady M. had found while she was visiting. Her visit was indeed The Great Northwest Garden Tour of 2008. Mr. Beachy's putting the kiwi vines up against the garage (soon to become the garden-art studio) and hopes to trellis them over a window. The vines are supposed to start bearing fruit this summer or next, and in winter the branches will be intwined and red.
He told me Peaches had a very nice first mother's day. The 3 had a picnic in the backyard and little Soon loved looking at the blue sky. As for me, my little PDX family took me and the 3 dogs for a walk in the woods. It was great to be in the woods again and I have a zillion bug bites on my back to prove how much the woods missed me! They also gave me a funny little garden gnome doll that records your voice and plays it back in a tiny gnome voice. While Lady M was here, SIE heard her say, "... and blah, blah, blah". That cracked him up! I guess he'd never heard anyone say that before. So we recorded "blah, blah, blah" for the gnome and it's really funny.

Dear Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteBonnies j would be so happy if you would send Irish Meadows your current address and new phone number. Irish Meadows is not available on Sunday afternoons, because I.M. is out doing good deeds for family members at that time.
I.M. is very busy this month. She is getting her humble abode ready to sell, so she can move to a new location.
I.M. suggests you put your address and phone number on a piece of paper, stick it in an envelope and mail it to her.
Bonnies j is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next grandchild. Our daughter-in-law is 7 months along and having premature labor pains. She has been put on bed rest and must take some awful medicine called LowMag five times a day. Please keep her in your prayers.
I will write again when something interesting happens in my life. That could be awhile.
Love, bonnies j
